Harry and Meghan are set to leave the Royal Foundation set up by princes William and Harry to establish their own charity, Kensington Palace has confirmed, Whimn reports.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to depart later this year, and the Royal Foundation will become “the principle charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge”.
“These changes are designed to best complement the work and responsibilities of Their Royal Highnesses as they prepare for their future roles, and to better align their charitable activity with their new households,” the palace said in a statement.
The statement also said the decision was made after a review of the foundation’s structure, presumably in an attempt to lure us all away from the presumption that relations between brothers William and Harry are getting frostier and frostier.
The two princes set up the Royal Foundation in 2009 to help causes close to their hearts, such as The Invictus Games and Heads Together, a mental health initiative.
