    Girls lead in robotics

At Genazzano FCJ College in Kew, girls enjoy not just equal opportunity, but every opportunity, the Weekly Times reports.

The all-girls’ environment from Prep to Year 12 promotes the achievements of young women and creates a community where girls feel supported and encouraged to be themselves.

Girls can pursue interests across the academic and co-curricular programs, including sport, music, art, drama, science, technology, mathematics, creative writing, languages and social justice, catering for diverse abilities and encouraging interests outside academics. In partnership with parents and carers, Genazzano creates a learning environment enriched by the traditions of the Catholic faith and the Ignatian heritage and Charism of the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus.

This, coupled with the learning and teaching programs, allow students to grow, develop and excel.

In Years 7 and 9, students participate in app prototyping and learn how to create and code their own websites. Its GenTech program offers enriched experiences in technology, maths and science to equip students to pursue these areas in tertiary study.

The college works on a curriculum and wellbeing model that immerses students in learning. Teachers are integral to bringing this model to life.
