Procurement Australia is thrilled to announce its 16th Annual Conference, Collaborating for Purpose,  a dynamic one-day gathering that promises to serve as a nexus of expertise and collaborative thought. After a two-year hiatus due to complications associated with the pandemic, this event centres around the theme ‘Collaborating for Purpose: A new era of impactful procurement’.

Scheduled to take place on the 16th of August 2024, the conference provides a unique platform and opportunity for the convergence of diverse minds and experiences, bringing together distinguished members from the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors, alongside esteemed suppliers and sponsors.

Committed to driving positive change in the industry, this year’s conference is crafted around three key pillars relevant to collaboration in procurement: fostering innovation, promoting ethical procurement, and encouraging sustainable practices within the industry.

For Procurement Australia’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, Brendan Hoare, the theme is indicative of the changes evident in the industry landscape and the organisation’s approach to this new era of procurement.

“In our daily conversations with members across all sectors and industries, it’s clear that the procurement industry is changing. Members are looking for more collaborative approaches to shared problems. They want to move beyond just talking about ESG challenges and instead work together to find solutions to them.

“This is what our 2024 Annual Conference provides: an unparalleled opportunity for attendees, sponsors and suppliers to explore the latest trends and create new strategies to tackle what’s to come in the future,” Mr Hoare said.

Participants can expect an insightful gathering where shared knowledge and collective ambition set the stage for future advancements in the procurement landscape. Featuring dynamic speakers, exclusive networking opportunities, interactive workshops, and professional growth experiences, this conference serves as a beacon for professionals dedicated to making a lasting impact on the industry and the sustainable future of the planet.
