Procurement Australia announces resignation of CEO, Joe Arena

MEDIA RELEASE

28 April 2023

Procurement Australia has today announced that Joe Arena has resigned as Chief Executive Officer, effective 24 April 2023.

Procurement Australia Chair Glenn Patterson paid tribute to Joe Arena, “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Joe for his 10 years of service. We acknowledge what he has achieved during his time at Procurement Australia” Mr Patterson said.

The Board has appointed Strategic Sourcing Director, Brendan Hoare, to the role of Interim CEO of Procurement Australia to ensure business continuity.

As an executive leader in the business with over a decade’s tenure and experience acting as CEO on previous occasions, Brendan is the ideal choice to lead the Procurement Australia team through this transition period.

The Board will immediately undertake a careful recruitment process for a new CEO and will provide updates to stakeholders in due course.

Procurement Australia is supported by a strong and dedicated team of executive leaders and experienced senior staff who will continue to guide its business operations as normal.
