    Man surfs 30 hours straight

Australian former professional surfer Blake Johnston has officially broken the record for the world's longest surf session, and will spend an epic 40 hours in the water at Sydney's Cronulla beach, 9 News reports.

Hundreds of locals and surfers lined the sand at Cronulla to see the 40-year-old break the record with a session lasting more than 30 hours and 11 minutes.

Johnston is raising money for the Chumpy Pullin Foundation and youth mental health, and has raised more than $200,000 so far.

The team behind him say blindness, infected ears, dehydration, sleep deprivation, hypothermia, sharks, drowning are all factors in his record-breaking attempt.
